Kolkata, June 2 -- Former West Bengal Sports Minister Arup Biswas was on Tuesday issued summons by the Bidhannagar South Police station allegedly in connection with the mess over the Lionel Messi show at Salt Lake stadium last December.
Biswas was asked to appear before the officers of the Bidhannagar South police station on June 4. The summons was issued as a follow up to an FIR lodged on Saturday by the chief organiser of the event Satadru Dutta, who had also lodged complaints seeking compensation worth Rs 100 crore, for having incurred a huge financial loss and faced defamation.
