New Delhi, Sept. 21 -- Police arrested the driver of a dumper, who allegedly hit a crane and an autorickshaw, killing four workers engaged in CCTV installation work in southeast Delhi's Sarita Vihar area, an official said on Monday.
According to police, the owner of the dumper company is under interrogation and has agreed to pay compensation of Rs 3 lakh each to the family of the deceased and Rs 1 lakh each to the two injured in the incident.
On Sunday, the accident took place between 2.30 am -3 am near Kalindi Hospital in Sarita Vihar when a Delhi Traffic Police camera-maintenance team was working by the roadside, police said.
The dumper was allegedly being driven rashly and rammed the pickup vehicle fitted from behind, the FIR stated. ...
