Srinagar, Aug. 9 -- Police in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir have secured an attachment order from the NIA Court against property worth nearly Rs 70 lakh belonging to an accused in a 2008 case registered under provisions of the EIMCO Act, RPC and UAPA, officials said on Sunday.

The attachment pertains to 12 kanal and 1 marla and 73 square feet of land belonging to accused Parvaiz Ahmad Famda, , a resident of Kawhar Bala in Chandoosa, they said.

The property, valued at Rs 69,82,550, was attached pursuant to an order obtained from the NIA Court, Sopore, in connection with Case FIR No. 02/2008 registered at Police Station Chandoosa under Sections 2/3 of the EIMCO Act, 120-B and 121 RPC and Section 13 of the UAPA.
