Beed, March 22 -- In a major step toward strengthening law and order, the Beed district police in Maharashtra have introduced a state-of-the-art CCTV mobile control van to effectively manage large gatherings during religious festivals.
The advanced surveillance unit was successfully deployed during the Kanifnath Maharaj Yatra at Pachopav this year ensuring the event concluded peacefully. Notably, the same event had witnessed tensions between two communities last year. This time, the police used the high-tech van for the first time and thereby ensured tight security arrangements with strategic planning to avoid any disturbances.
