Agartala, June 23 -- Tripura Police apprehended two brothers in relation to the alleged murder of a local club secretary in Kathaltali area in the southern outskirt of the city under West Tripura district, an event that has incited tension and unrest in the area.
The deceased, identified as Samir Das, who served as the secretary of a local club, was allegedly attacked and hacked to death late last night when he was returning home. The two accused brothers, Swapan Sutradhar and Mithun Sutradhar, are both residents of the same locality and local leaders of the ruling BJP.
