Sangli, March 27 -- In a shocking incident which came to light late this evening, a man tied the hands and feet of his two daughters and kept them hanging upside down from the beam of his house for two nights and a day on suspicion of committing petty theft at his cousin's house, leading to the death of one, while the other is fighting for her life.
The most shocking thing is that nine-year-old Rituja alias Sanika Dadu Yamgar died in this inhuman torture, while 11-year-old Anuja is fighting for her life.
Meanwhile, the police have taken the accused father into custody.
According to the information received, the suspected accused, Bap Dadu alias Nana Yamgar (age 38), has a total of five children, four daughters and one son.
