Mumbai, Sept. 5 -- Mumbai Police have imposed prohibitory orders across the Brihanmumbai region for 15 days from midnight on September 9 to 11:59 p.m. on September 23, in the light of intelligence inputs indicating a potential threat to public peace, human life and property.

The order has been issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Akbar Pathan under Section 37(3), read with Section 10(2), of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951. The preventive measures are intended to safeguard public order and pre-empt any situation that could result in a breach of peace.
