Patna, April 10 -- The central government's flagship Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), earlier known as the Multi-sectoral Development Programme (MSDP), has now been expanded to cover all 38 districts of Bihar, significantly boosting development efforts in minority concentrated areas.

Official sources said here today that the scheme focuses on improving living conditions, education, healthcare and basic infrastructure for minority communities. Initially, during the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2013-14 to 2016-17), 75 blocks and eight towns across 20 districts in Bihar were identified as minority concentrated areas and provided with special development packages.
