Chennai, Nov. 18 -- Security has been tightened at Coimbatore with the deployment ofmore than 3,000 police personnel in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's brief visit to theTextile City tomorrow to inaugurate the South India Natural Farming Summit.

Mr Modi will arrive from Puttparthi and inaugurate the Summit at the sprawling CODISSIATrade Fair complex.

Later, he was expected to meet BJP Tamil Nadu unit leaders and alliance party leader andAIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami and discuss about the preparationsfor the upcoming Assembly elections due in 6-7 months' time and on strengthening theNDA by inducting like-minded parties including the PMK, DMDK.
