Chandigarh, Sept. 7 -- Rajya Sabha Member Sanjay Singh and Punjab Panchayat Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Sunday visited flood-affected border villages of Fazilka district. The leaders personally distributed relief material among residents of Gulaba Bhaini village.
Sanjay Singh said that Punjab has been battling floods for nearly a month, yet the Centre continues to wait for reports instead of providing immediate relief. He expressed hope that during his visit to Punjab on September 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will announce a substantial relief package for the affected areas.
