Aizawl, Sept. 9 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Mizoram on Saturday, where he will inaugurate the newly constructed 51.38-kilometre Bairabi-Sairang railway line, marking a significant milestone in the state's infrastructure development.
The inauguration will take place during a public gathering in Aizawl, making the capital city the fourth in the northeastern region to be connected by rail.
An official statement issued today outlined that the Prime Minister will not only inaugurate the railway line but will also flag off several key passenger trains, including the Aizawl-Delhi Rajdhani Express (from Anand Vihar Terminal), the Aizawl-Kolkata Express, and the Aizawl-Guwahati Express.
