Chennai, July 16 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate nine redeveloped Amrit Stations coming under the Southern Railway via video conferencing from Punjab tomorrow afternoon.
The inauguration of nine stations in Southern Railway was part of the launch of 75 redeveloped Amrit Stations across the country ata function to be held at Jalandhar Cantonment Railway Station in Punjab in the presence of Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and other dignitaries.
All the nine stations were redeveloped at a total cost of about Rs 135 crores.
The nine redeveloped stations in Southern Railways to be dedicated to the nation included four in Palakkad division, two each in Salem and Thiruvananthapuram divisions and one in Chennai division.
