Hyderabad, May 27 -- Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created history by becoming the first Prime Minister in independent India to be directly elected by the people and successfully complete 12 consecutive years in office.
Addressing the media after a joining programme at the BJP state headquarters in Hyderabad, Ramchander Rao said Modi was leading the country towards "Viksit Bharat" and expressed confidence that he would continue as Prime Minister in the future as well.
The BJP leader stated that under Modi's 12-year tenure, India had emerged as the world's fastest-growing economy and was progressing towards becoming the third-largest global economic power.
