New Delhi, Aug. 30 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Sunday conferred Uzbekistan's highest honour, the 'Oliy Darajali Do'stlik' Order, by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent in recognition of his contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership and deepening the friendship between India and Uzbekistan.

Receiving the prestigious honour during his visit to the Central Asian nation, Prime Minister Modi dedicated the award to the enduring bonds between the two countries and described it as a reflection of the deep-rooted friendship shared by their peoples.
