New Delhi, Aug. 7 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended greetings on National Handloom Day, saluting India's centuries-old handloom tradition and reaffirming the Centre's commitment to supporting the sector, which he said plays a vital role in rural empowerment, women-led development and the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister praised the country's weavers and artisans for keeping India's rich textile traditions alive through their craftsmanship and dedication across generations.
