New Delhi, Jan. 15 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday inaugurated the 28th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) in New Delhi, emphasising India's commitment to democratic values.
"India has turned diversity into the strength of its democracy...India has shown that democratic institutions and democratic processes give democracy with stability, speed and scale," Modi said.
The conference, attended by 61 Speakers and Presiding Officers from 42 Commonwealth countries, will discuss critical parliamentary issues, including the role of Speakers in democratic institutions, the use of AI in Parliament, the impact of social media, and strategies to enhance citizen participation.
