New Delhi, July 29 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted wildlife enthusiasts on the occasion of Global Tiger Day, highlighting India's remarkable success in tiger conservation and reaffirming the country's commitment to science-based conservation, community participation and sustainable development to protect the iconic big cat.
In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said India takes pride in being home to nearly 70 per cent of the world's tiger population, describing the country's conservation efforts as a reflection of its long-standing cultural ethos of living in harmony with nature.
