New Delhi, July 30 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday directed the government to adopt a unified, whole-of-government approach to deal with the fallout of the ongoing West Asia conflict, as he chaired the fourth special meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security to review the evolving geopolitical situation and measures to safeguard Indian citizens, the diaspora, energy security and essential supplies.

The high-level meeting reviewed steps taken by various Ministries and Departments in response to the crisis, with the Prime Minister calling for a coordinated mechanism to continuously monitor developments and ensure the speedy implementation of measures aimed at protecting national interests.
