New Delhi, April 26 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed relief at the safety of US President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania and Vice President J D Vance following the shooting incident at the White House on Saturday night, and said violence has no place in a democracy and must be unequivocally condemned. ''Relieved to learn that President Trump, the First Lady and Vice President are safe and unharmed following the recent security incident at a Washington DC hotel,'' the Prime Minister said on X.
