Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 23 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here on Friday morning on a high-profile one-day visit to Kerala, focusing on the launch of major development initiatives, strengthening connectivity, and attending public and political engagements.
The Prime Minister landed at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport at around 10:25 am and was formally received by Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and other senior dignitaries.
After the airport reception, Modi undertook a roadshow through major city roads, during which thousands of people lined the route to catch a glimpse of his motorcade. Tight security arrangements were in place throughout the city.
