New Delhi, July 31 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held a telephone conversation with newly elected United Kingdom Prime Minister Andy Burnham, with the two leaders agreeing to strengthen cooperation across key sectors and maximise the benefits of the recently operationalised India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

Sharing details of the conversation in a post on social media platform X, Modi congratulated Burnham on assuming office and wished him success in his new role.
