Chennai, Nov. 3 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu Chief MinisterM K Stalin and leaders of various parties in Tamil Nadu hailed India's maidenfor conquering the world in the finals of the Women Wolrld Cup.
In a tense final, that latter fizzled out in the last ten overs, India successfullydefended the total of 298 by restricting South Africa to 246 in the historic summitclash that landed India first women's WC title.
