Madurai (Tamil Nadu), March 1 -- In a big boost to Rail and Road infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurate dedicated to the nation and laid foundation stones forkey development projects worth over Rs. 4,400 crore in this Temple town which were aimed at enhancing connectivity, improving mobility and accelerating regional economic development.
Southern Railway sources said Mr Modi inaugurated/dedicated and laid the foundation stone for a host of projects of the Ministries of Railways, Highways and Prasar Bharati.
He also dedicated to the Nation eight redeveloped Amrit Stations in Tamil Nadu and launched the Chennai Egmore-Chennai Beach 4th EMU line (Total cost:Rs.378 crore).
