Madurai, March 1 -- Marking a poignant moment during his first visit to the Tiruparankundram hill temple, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged the issue of the death of a devotee of Lord Muruga over the Deepam lighting row and blamed the ruling DMK for his demise and asserted that truth will prevail and the Muruga devotees will win.

Addressing the NDA poll rally in this temple town, Mr Modi, after bowing to Goddess Meenkashi and Lord Sundaresswar, described Madurai as a land of Pandya kingdom and famous for veeram (bravery) and valour.
