Srinagar, June 10 -- : National Conference president and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently assured Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that the Centre will honour its commitment of restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Abdullah said the promise of restoration of statehood was made before the entire world.
"Our larger demand is the restoration of statehood," Abdullah told reporters in Anantnag. This (restoration of statehood) was a promise made before the entire world.
