Chennai, Sept. 12 -- With the Election Commission of India (ECI) having announced the bypoll for two of the seven vacant seats in Tamil Nadu Assembly and the filing of nominations too already commenced, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the Madras High Court on Saturday seeking a stay and a direction to the poll body not to hold the 'forced' October six bypoll to Madurantakam (SC) and Dharapuram (SC) Assembly constituencies.
The Model Code of Conduct has already come into force and filing of nominations opened on September nine.
