New Delhi, May 25 -- The Supreme Court on Monday declined to grant an urgent hearing on a plea seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the activities of individuals linked to the "Cockroach Janta Party" - a satirical social media movement that emerged following Chief Justice of India Surya Kant's recent "cockroach" remark.
Advocate N K Goswami, appearing for the petitioner, argued that the "Cockroach Janta Party" was damaging the image of the judiciary.
