New Delhi, July 16 -- Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday commenced his official visit to Finland, leading a high-level Indian delegation to strengthen bilateral trade, investment and industry cooperation between the two countries.

The delegation, comprising senior government officials and business leaders, held a series of ministerial-level discussions and industry engagements, besides signing two institutional Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at deepening economic and business ties.

The visit comes months after India and Finland elevated their relationship to a Strategic Partnership in Digitalisation and Sustainability during Finnish President Alexander Stubb's State visit to India in March 2026.
