Pinjore (Panchkula), Sept. 6 -- The Jatayu Conservation Breeding Centre at Haryana's Pinjore town has reached a major milestone by successfully breeding 35 vulture chicks in 2025-26.
The centre also contributed 87 vultures to release and rehabilitation programs to help rebuild critically endangered vulture populations in the wild.
The centre housed 356 vultures during 2025-26. During this time, 90 birds were sent to other conservation breeding centres, highlighting the centre's growing role in India's national effort to restore vulture populations after decades of decline.
