Kasaragod, Oct. 6 -- Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly and CPI(M) Politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday strongly condemned the Kerala Police providing protection for an RSS programme at the Central University of Kerala here, alleging that the UDF Government was facilitating the Sangh Parivar's attempts to saffronise higher educational institutions and push communal agendas on campuses.
Vijayan said the police action was "highly condemnable", particularly as almost all student organisations, except those affiliated with the Sangh Parivar, had protested against the programme.
