Sohkha, July 3 -- Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Friday said Meghalaya's Performance Grading Index (PGI) ranking does not accurately capture the state's educational strides.
Addressing a gathering during the foundation stone laying of Sohkha Government Higher Secondary School and a felicitation programme for meritorious students in West Jaintia Hills district, the Chief Minister called for an urgent need to strengthen school reporting mechanisms to improve the State's PGI.
He highlighted that gaps in data reporting have led to significant loss of marks in PGI assessments.
