Panchkula, Aug. 27 -- In a move aimed at widening pension and social security coverage for workers in the gig and platform economy, the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has extended the onboarding incentive under the NPS e-shramik (Platform Service Partner) Model to the financial year 2026-27, with an incentive of up to Rs 100 per new account onboarded under the framework.
The extended incentive will be valid for enrolments made up to March 31, 2027, according to a PFRDA circular dated August 18.
The decision is intended to encourage Points of Presence (PoPs) to strengthen their systems, raise awareness, and educate Platform Service Partners, while facilitating their onboarding into the National Pension System.
