Chandigarh, Jan. 21 -- A legal petition has been moved in a Lahore sessions court seeking registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against Sarabjit Kaur, an Indian national who travelled to Pakistan on a pilgrimage visa and later married a resident, Nasir Hussain.

The application was filed on January 20, 2026, by advocate Ali Changezi Sandhu on behalf of Mahinder Pal Singh, a former Sikh legislator from Pakistan. The plea urges the court to order registration of an FIR against both Sarabjit Kaur and Nasir Hussain under Sections 22-A and 22-B of Pakistan's Criminal Procedure Code.
