But with their eighth album 'A Pale White Dot', the Maryland progressive metal juggernauts have likely delivered what is probably their most polarising album yet.
If you came expecting the same old sprawling ten-minute odysseys like the band is known for, with their complex, almost labyrinthine, technical song structures, then sorry, this is not what this album is. In fact, this piece is far leaner, and much more straightforward, that basically trims all the excess from their previous albums, presenting a much more accessible piece.
