Jammu, June 16 -- Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr Jitendra Singh, on Tuesday said pension and governance reforms initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the past 12 years are reaching a larger number of employees and pensioners in Jammu and Kashmir following the region's transition into a union Territory.

Addressing the 59th Pre-Retirement Counselling Workshop and the 13th Bankers' Awareness Programme at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar, Singh said the reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir had increased the number of Central government employees in the region, creating initial administrative and service-delivery challenges that have gradually been addressed. ...
