Hazaribag, June 10 -- North Chotanagpur Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Gupta on Wednesday warned that Circle Officers could face action under the Right to Public Services (RTPS) Act for delays in disposal of mutation applications and directed officials to clear pending cases on priority.

Chairing a review meeting on revenue collection and land administration, Gupta said unnecessary delays in mutation cases would not be tolerated and instructed revenue officials to ensure timely disposal of applications.

The Commissioner said revenue mobilisation was essential for implementation of public welfare programmes and directed departments to intensify efforts to achieve their annual revenue collection targets.
