Hyderabad, July 14 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught a Municipal Assistant Engineer of Peddapally Municipality allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh for processing and forwarding a contractor's final bill.

According to the ACB statement, Kallepalli Sathish Kumar (33), Assistant Engineer in the Municipal Office, Peddapally district, was trapped by the ACB's Karimnagar Unit at his residence after he allegedly demanded and accepted Rs 2 lakh from a contractor.

The bribe was allegedly sought for processing and forwarding the final bill related to the development of the Hindu graveyard at Tenuguwada and the graveyard on Kunaram Road in Peddapally town under Package-IX.
