Peddapalli, May 14 -- Peddapalli Member of Parliament Gaddam Vamsi Krishna on Thursday honoured an elderly woman running a small tea shop in Peddapalli town for her self-reliance and environmentally friendly practices.
During his visit to the tea stall, the MP appreciated the woman for independently sustaining her livelihood and for using an electric stove instead of traditional wood-fired or gas stoves, thereby helping reduce smoke and environmental pollution.
Recognising her efforts amid the shortage of LPG cylinders, Vamsi Krishna felicitated her with a shawl and praised her progressive approach towards adopting cleaner technology. He also enjoyed a cup of tea prepared by her at the shop.
