Chandigarh, Feb. 17 -- The Punjab Civil Medical Services (PCMS) Association has expressed "great disappointment" over the deliberate delay in the disbursement of salaries for medical officers in Patiala, sparking a fresh political row in the state.
In a formal communication addressed to the Civil Surgeon of Patiala, the PCMS Association highlighted that while para-medical and other staff members have received their pay for January 2026, medical officers (PCMS-1) posted under CHC Model Town and CHC Tripuri remain empty-handed.
The association alleged that despite prior assurances that the salaries would be cleared by Monday, the payment remains pending.
