Sangli, July 31 -- Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Jayant Patil has urged the media not to jump to conclusions that the party is preparing to join the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) merely because NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to reporters at the Zilla Parishad, Patil clarified that Sharad Pawar had already explained the purpose of the meeting. According to him, the discussion was focused on the ongoing student agitation in Delhi, with Pawar advising the Prime Minister to engage directly with the protesting students and listen to their concerns.
