Vijayawada, June 19 -- : Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan laid the foundation stone for the construction of a research and training centre for the forest department at Bramha Anandapuram village, at Mangalagiri, near here on Friday.

The research and training centre is being constructed for Rs 24 crore, and it will also serve as a common facility centre. The research and training centre will also be a command centre for HANUMAN wing activities. The Deputy Chief Minister saw the photo exhibition. The Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister Pawan Kalyan said that the forest department had rescued 185 wild animals during the year 2024. It also prevented 36 human and wild animal confrontations at various places.
