New Delhi, Feb. 24 -- Just hours after a tragic air ambulance crash claimed seven lives in Jharkhand, another aviation incident was reported on Tuesday, this time involving a helicopter in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
A Pawan Hans helicopter carrying seven people, including crew members, crashed into the sea shortly after taking off from Mayabunder in the North and Middle Andaman district on Tuesday morning. All seven occupants were successfully rescued, officials said.
The accident took place at around 9:30 am, an officer said.
"All passengers and crew members were rescued from the sea and have been admitted to a hospital," the officer mentioned.
