Pune, April 27 -- Creative Foundation President Sandeep Khardekar has blown the whistle on irregularities in free water supply to needy localities by civic tankers in the absence of meters to record the quantities.
Talking to mediapersons here on Monday, he revealed that during an inspection at the tanker point in Patwardhan Baug today, it was a shock to find that the meter has been non-functional since December 16, 2025.
From this location, the Pune Municipal Corporation supplies "free water" to citizens through tankers, for which a contractor has been appointed, Khardekar said.
