New Delhi, April 9 -- Parth Ajit Pawar was on Thursday administered the oath of office by C P Radhakrishnan, Vice President of India and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, as a newly elected Member of the Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra at Parliament House.
The oath-taking ceremony, held in the presence of senior officials and members, formally marked Parth Pawar's entry into the Upper House of Parliament.
As per parliamentary procedure, newly elected members are required to take oath or affirmation before they can participate in the proceedings of the House.
