Pune, Sept. 4 -- Political circles in Pimpri-Chinchwad are abuzz after Parth Pawar, son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, visited the residence of Sanjog Waghere, city president of the Shiv Sena (UBT).
The meeting has triggered speculation that Waghere may return to his original party, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP faction.
Parth Pawar has recently shown growing interest in Pimpri-Chinchwad politics. During a tour of various Ganeshotsav mandals in the area, he paid a visit to Waghere's home and shared a meal there, further fuelling political chatter.
Waghere, who currently leads the Shiv Sena (UBT) in Pimpri-Chinchwad, had earlier quit the NCP to join the Shiv Sena. He even contested a Lok Sabha election as a Sena candidate.
