Mumbai/ Khamgaon, March 15 -- Biscuit production at Shivangi Bakers in Khamgaon has come to a complete halt since last Thursday due to a severe shortage of cooking gas.
The factory manufactures the popular Parle-G biscuits, including cream and glucose varieties.
The production process has been disrupted as the ovens used in the factory operate on gas, and the supply has been interrupted. As a result, the entire manufacturing unit has been forced to suspend operations.
Around 500 workers are employed at the facility, and concerns are being raised about their livelihoods if the shutdown continues for a longer period.
