Bhubaneswar, July 28 -- The average turnaround time for bulk cargo at Odisha's Paradip Port has improved marginally during 2025-26, while the Centre is continuing to strengthen the port's rail and road connectivity through infrastructure projects worth over Rs 12,377 crore, union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal informed the Rajya Sabha today.
Replying to a question from Odisha Rajya Sabha MP Sujeet Kumar, Sonowal said the average turnaround time for bulk cargo at Paradip Port declined from 46.81 hours in 2024-25 to 46.57 hours in 2025-26, reflecting a modest improvement in operational efficiency.
