Tridib BaparnashNew Delhi, June 23 -- India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has taken a staggering Rs 12 crore pay cut to seal a return to Delhi Capitals, as the franchise completed a blockbuster trade with Lucknow Super Giants that will also see spinner Kuldeep Yadav move in the opposite direction ahead of IPL 2027.
As reported by this publication on Saturday, the deal marks Pant's return to familiar territory, where he spent nine seasons between 2016 and 2024 and established himself as one of the IPL's biggest stars. After becoming the most expensive player in IPL history when Lucknow signed him for Rs 27 crore ahead of the 2025 season, Pant will now return to Delhi on a revised contract worth Rs 15 crore.
