Panchkula, June 1 -- In a citizen-centric initiative, the Panchkula Police has launched a doorstep verification system under which applicants will no longer be required to visit police stations for character certificates, passport verification, tenant verification and other police verification services.

The new system has been introduced on the directions of Police Commissioner Pankaj Nain as part of efforts to simplify public service delivery and improve the overall citizen experience.

Under the revised procedure, citizens will continue to submit applications online through the designated portal. Once received, the application will be electronically forwarded to the concerned police station. Thereafter, a police official will be deputed ...
