Panchkula, Nov. 2 -- Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma, on Monday, directed the municipal corporation to check the registration of meat shops near a gurdwara in Budhanpur and remove those operating without registration, following a complaint about difficulties faced by worshippers accessing the shrine.
Sharma issued the directions during a public grievance camp at the Mini Secretariat, where he heard five complaints and instructed the departments concerned to resolve them promptly.
The complaint alleged that unauthorised meat shops near the gurdwara were causing inconvenience to visitors. Sharma asked municipal officials to verify their registration and act against outlets operating without it.
